The above is the best I could come up with and I know it sound somewhat confusing. If there as been no baked model at anytime in paint room the problem does not occur if you enable "Snap to low polygon vertices" There has been no prior baked model data. The problem contuines when you reopen the same file though you did not save the 3DC file. It seems that the Tool is not really turning itself off even when you disable it plus it remembers the baked model's data when hiding the model or deleting it from the paint room. I not not have that information, I only found a way to reproduce what I was seeing in his video. It is possible that he had a prior model there but deleted it. I do not know what the user has or had in the paint room at anytime in the file he has the problem with. I think the problem is with the "snap to low polygon vertices tool". Reopened the file, snap to low polygon vertices is still disabled, same problem as shown in the video continues. I then closed the file without saving and Snap to low polygon vertices is still disabled. Next I deleted the low polygon model in the paint room. Snapping the vertices on the right to the large. The object you're working on is perfectly mirrored to the left side, fitting the width on the right. The right buttock is larger/wider than the left one. Since the Mirror modifier isn't applied yet, you cannot edit both sides individually. Low polygon vertice snapping did not turn off but still continued. You can only snap 'real' geometry to the faces. I then disabled "Snap to low polygon vertices, under the view menu in retopo room. In the retopo room, I enabled under the View menu " Snap to low polygon vertices" This created the same behavior as shown in the users video. Scaling the model up does not fix the problem either. I have seen people post about similair problems but no real solution seems to have been suggested. The lines or vertices are snapping to the inside of the mesh rather than the surface. I used it to reproduce the problem in my testings. Im having a problem with quad draw not snapping to the surface of my live mesh. I have never used the Snap to low polygon vertices before. ![]() Yes normally you delete the model in the paint room before reworking the mesh in retopo room but this was testing for the problem. I have the retopo mesh in the retopo room and the of course the model shows up in the UV room. If testing this yourself do in on a file that you do not want to use.
